Rosemaling
Inspired by the Telemark and Gudbrandstal styles of Norway
This series of oil on repurposed metal saw blades fuses norweigan history in two-fold. One one hand, the decorative art of rosemaling in oil paint. On the other, giving saw blades a new life after they’ve been retired from carving carpenter-made cedar saunas in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI.
